Zoe Gotusso

Mi primer día triste

2020

Juan was the producer of the first solo album by Argentine singer-songwriter Zoe Gotusso, arguably one of the rising acts on today's music scene.

According to Zoe: 'Mi Primer Día Triste started as a little seed we planted months ago in Montevideo with Juan, Julio Berta, Diego Mema and a bunch of incredible musicians. It is the harvest of the energy that was generated during the months we worked together in the studio. It was unique. It fills me with joy to finally be able to share it, and I will always be grateful to all the people who were part of it and contributed their soul to water my ideas'.

Mi Primer Día Triste features the production of Juan Campodónico, string arrangements by Alejandro Terán, guitars and arrangements by Diego Mema and the participation of Javier Casalla on violin, Hugo Fatorusso on piano, Gabriel Casacuberta on bass and Martín Ibarburu on drums. The connection of the recording with the finest of Rio de la Plata's popular music is confirmed with the stripped down and subtle version of Jaime Roos' classic, 'Amándote'.
