Juan produced Perotá Chingó’s album Muta. The album blends root music with global sounds, using electronica as a tool. Muta was mainly recorded in Montevideo at Juan’s studio.

The songs 'Toca', 'Flor de Vida', 'Vértigo' and 'Aurora' were the singles preceding the album. Conceived during a creative process that started in February 2019, the album ended its recording process in September. The album concept is related with the four steps of life: birth and childhood, youth, adulthood and death.
